چکیده

Purpose: We analyzed factors that affect the outcome of levator recession surgery for upper eyelid retraction in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed based on medical records 24 ophthalmopathy who underwent between February 10, 2010, and September 18, 2018. The margin to reflex distance (MRD), length area lower eyelids were measured compared software before after 6 months records. In addition, affecting difference MRD1 examined by multivariate linear regression analysis. Results: Twenty-four included study. decreased significantly from 5.12 ± 1.26 mm 3.48 1.08 at (p < 0.001). All measurements, i.e., UEL 0.001), UMA UCA = 0.004), ULA surgery, while none measurements showed significant changes. Multivariate logistic indicated preoperative associated success (odds ratio, 0.31; 95% confidence interval, 0.09-1.01).Conclusions: Levator is an efficient surgical method can correct ophthalmopathy.

A Promising Modified Procedure for Upper Eyelid Retraction-Associated Graves’ Ophthalmopathy: Transconjunctival Lateral Levator Aponeurectomy

Upper eyelid retraction is a characteristic feature of thyroid eye disease, including Graves' orbitopathy. In this study, a new surgical technique for correction of lid retraction secondary to Graves' orbitopathy is described. Sixteen eyelids of patients older than 18 years old underwent surgical correction for moderate to severe lid retraction secondary to Graves' orbitopathy. In this procedur...

PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy of transconjunctival Müller muscle recession and graded levator disinsertion for eyelid retraction in patients with thyroid-related orbitopathy (TRO). DESIGN Retrospective consecutive case series. METHODS Medical record review of 78 TRO patients (107 eyelids) who underwent surgery for upper eyelid retraction in a 5-year period was performed. Main outcome mea...

Graves' ophthalmopathy: V. Aetiology of upper eyelid retraction in Graves' ophthalmopathy.

The volume of the levator superior rectus muscle complex was determined from computed tomography scans of 152 orbits from 76 patients with Graves' ophthalmopathy. Clinically observed lid retraction and lid lag did not correlate with the levator/superior rectus muscle volume and did not correlate with limitation of vertical eye movements or inferior rectus muscle volume. These results do not sup...
